I really liked the newly launched
Mahindra e2o electric car and I see future of next generation cars in it.
Today, we have totally become depended on petrol and diesel to run our cars.
With constant increase in prices of petrol and diesel, it is becoming difficult
for many car owners to drive their vehicles comfortably.
Petrol and diesel based cars have provided
great help in mobility; however, it is also true that they are causing
pollutions by emitting harmful gasses out. Therefore, time has come when we
need a solution for this problem. Futuristic electric cars like Mahindra e2o
can offer good solution to us.
Mahindra says in its advertisement of
e2o that it is future of mobility.
Why they are saying so? There are
multiple answers to this question.
1)
e2o
will run on green energy (like Solar Energy) and cost of running this car is
very low as compare to petrol or diesel based cars.
2)
Eco
friendly with zero emission
3)
Very
low cost of maintenance
4)
Advance
and high-tech features
5)
No
noise pollution
6)
Scratch
and Dent Resistance design
7)
E2o
has no clutch and Gear, So easy to drive
8)
Control E2o with a Mobile
App
9)
Changes
automatically when you apply breaks
Mahindra e2o is four seater electric
car with top speed of 81 Km/h. It takes five hours to completely charge its
battery and with on full charge, you can travel a distance of 100 KM. It has 3
Phase Induction Motor which gives 19 kW @ 3750 rpm. Battery
used in e2o is 48V maintenance-free Lithium-ion. Mahindra e20 is a two door
hatchback and it comes in six color options. With turning radius of just 3.9 m,
it is very easy to drive this car on jammed city roads.
Mahindra e2o is fitted with on board
computer with GPS navigation system. This is first car in India which you
can control with a mobile app. From stop, start, locking, unlocking, AC
temperature control and many more can be done with ease from a mobile phone app.
Mahindra e2o has many new things in
category like when you apply breaks then it charges car battery and option to
charge car on solar energy.
However, biggest draw back of Mahindra
E2o is its high cost. This car will cost between Rs 7.8 lakh to Rs 8 Lakh and
will be available in two variants.
Overall, Mahindra e2o is a welcome step
and we should encourage development of such cars. Hopefully, prices of such
cars will decrease sharply in future and we will drive more such cars.
